Just get something like a flatbladed screwdriver and lightly work it under neath the blank and pop it off.

you are going to want to take the center dash apart to do the wiring anyway. Just do it right so you don't spend to much time fighting with it.

Definately remove the center dash piece since the wiring may be taped up if you do have it.

Pry it up and out from the bottom. It shouldn't take much pressure. If you can find something plastic like a comb you can keep from scratching anything.

You don't have to remove any thing as such. Just pry the blank off. You need a Guage cluster from a my color equiped car if you are going to install the my color. There is no wiring to be done. I'm not sure if I'm missing something but it is a 10 minute swap that you shouldn't pay any one to do.

wait wait wait!!
if you have it it will be plugged into the back of the blank cover! mine was and everyone i know that did it was. if the wire is there you can just plug in the switch.
use a very small flat blade and put a piece of cloth between the screw driver and the side of the center cover . he plastic is soft and will dent. it just pops off and the wire will be plugged in o it. the rest is lower the steering wheel and grab he bezel at the tach and speedo and pull it pops out. then 4 screws hold the dash cluster in then just unplug it. here is the tricky part some do it and some take it to he dealer so it can be flashed. to save the dealer time i would pre install the switch and have the bezel off it then is a 15 min job

Mine came with it and I never do the install. I didn't realize it was that easy. Don't you have to change or flash the computer so all of the software functions work?

When the install is finished, you will get several warning lights that will stay on but do not effect the performance or operation of the car. Taking it to the dealer will allow them to reprogram the cluster so that certain alarms are turned off. For my car I had aTPMS going off. It would beep when I started the car in the morning and went off again when I hit 70. If you don't have abs that alarm will still go off. The Ford tech did the fix in 10 minutes but they will charge you for 1 hours time. I didn't bring it to the dealer for at least a month.
