but no where near where I wanted to be at this point.

I keep running into missing part snags; the little things that matter, bad wiring and playing needle in the hay stack. Only thing that is stopping me from moving forward with the interior now is the correct center bracket for the rear seat backs. I'm documenting everything as well, including the sear reupholstery so that slows thing a bit.

Here are some before and after pics of the seats and shots of the SEM stained rear panel.

Guess I'll assemble the tail lights and then waste some time sleeping. :Banane39:

looks awesome! =)
I want to get some new leather seat covers with white inserts some day. hm. Maybe I could get someone to add inserst to my current seats. Anyone know if that can be done or do you need all new covers?

Hey, I remember those seats!!! Had the Blood Pressure bulb for the lumbar support! LOL! My buddy put an SVO in like 1986.... He had it for quite awhile... think he got rid of it about 5 years ago...

Thank Furinox, Lisa. I'm not fond of leather in a car, but these are so comfortable now. It's almost a shame to put them in a car that's being sold... I was thinking bar stools, but I must resist. lol.

Furinox, unless you know someone, it would probably be cheaper to find a complete kit with color inserts already done. Labor cost for removal, sewing in the white and reinstall could get pricy. At least with the latter, you could sell your old covers and recoup some of the cost.

Scrming, lol, good old manual labor lumbar support and stress relief at the same time. The bulb covers were the only thing E & G did not include in the kit, but I think I've got at least two good ones kicking around. I would have loved to have an SVO new or even used back then by my budget was only good enough for a 69 Pinto with a rockstar red interior. :giggle:

Yeah... my 2 best friends from college both started at Ford in 1985... One ended up with the SVO and the other with a GT... ummmm... we did some pretty stupid things in those cars... I should either be dead or still in jail... YIKES!!!

Finally got the car running with a new EEC relay. Still have a door lock/window power problem. I backed the car out of the garage to let it run a while. It has not run for a year. Ran good enough considering the gas is probably close to turpentine by now. I had to rip apart some of the interior to get at the harness so that pic is old. The rest are from yesterday.

I'll be spending the next week getting things cleaned up and organized so I can play musical cars, then the 6 goes into the big bay. By then I should have all the suspension and chassis parts and some needed tools for the 8.8 swap in hand. I'll outline that in a new thread later. I'm doing all the work myself so it will be slow going... as usual. :p

Your car is coming along very nice. Getting a car running in a restore project is a big hurddle. I can not wait to the SVO in action when it is complete.

Looking good tj. The red SVO looks great in the background.

Thanks guys.

The Red car is my 85.5. It needs restoration too, but mostly cosmetic repair, bodywork, paint and a turbo rebuild. Turbo is the only thing that makes it un-drivable.

I posted a pic in Rygens picture request thread a while ago... here it is.

They aren't my favorite but look killer on the fox. Sorry bud my 17" bullitts aren't my favorite either. I can't afford tires for my 18" DD chrome bullits yet. I keep looking at my buddies 18" fanblades and they look so much better in the wheelwell than mine(guess the grass is always greener on the other side!). I love your ride, you need a stall so you can smack me down at the track!

It's cool man, I'm not crazy about my wheels either. I just wanted to give you some crap. =) I love the fanbldes too, especially the polished ones. I debating about whether I want those or the DD bullits. I'm going to wait though, speed comes first! I'm getting gears, then a stall. I can't afford to do everything i want just yet! =)
