oh and this sounds promising

"
Of course, the best news we discovered on Friday we can only hint at. We believe those dyno figures just have to be accurate, given the outrageous numbers these two 'Stangs threw down at our test track. But you'll have to check back with us bright and early Monday morning to find those out... "

I think:

V6 = 13.2ish

GT = 12.6ish,

my $ .02!

with the power to weight on the 6 i would say a best of 13.6, but im betting on 13.7

the gt's power to weight can be as low as a 12.3 though

I hope but I doubt it. I think the gt might run a 12.9 but the 6 will be low low 14s possibly a 13.9.

the 2010 gt with 3.73s can run 13.2's (someone on s197 did it), im sure an additional 97hp, and better gearing will get it a lot more than 3 tenths

The numbers on the 5.0 are very interesting. When you add the typical 15% for drivetrain losses, the V6 comes in almost exactly as advertised. When you add in the 15% for the GT, you get roughly 444 flywheel HP. The V6 comes in around 315 flywheel.

These are just guestimates and all, but that's a pretty big spread for the GT. I would've expected to dyno closer to 350 RWHP on an auto.

the best thing is the auto gt will smoke the auto camaro. more hp, less weight.

the m6's will be closer, same power, less weight for the mustang, should be close

i would assume 87 for the 3.7 and 91 for the 5.0 since thats what they both recommend but cant be for certain.

someone should email them, they responded pretty quickly to other questions, i would but im at work right now

They did it in So Cal so it wouldn't have been anything above 91 unless they used octane booster, but I seriously doubt that.

yea, these numbers seem a little more realistic, but still 378rwhp bone stock is a BEAST!

My goal of getting 400rwhp N/A is looking pretty do-able...

typical intake tune and exhaust would get you pretty close. Ford themselves said there was more left in the exhaust system but they didn't want to sacrifice sound

that seems more real than the 395 dyno. either way this sure is a way to stick it to GM and Chrysler. mustang lost its crown for about 2 years well now its back.

My guess is 12.8 for the GT and 13.8 for the V6. Nice numbers.

Very impressive for both cars. As usual Ford understimates we get the best part of it. I know there are going to be alot of 3.7 owners joining us real soon. Imagine what parts the aftermarket is going to come up with. No longer just for the 5.0 because there will be alot of Street Monsters coming.

I'm thinking the V6 may be my next daily driver when I wear out my Liberty, maybe two/three years from now.

both edmunds and MT quote 4th gear pulls but there's about 15HP difference. MT doesn't state this, but edmunds says they accounted for weather, could this cause a discrepancy of 15HP?
