Got another 4.0 today!

Well, the CFO (wife) and I have been lazy on getting a 3rd vehicle, and with the recent events with Stella, we decided that it was time to do it now..LOL. So, after shopping yesterday, last night and today we found something that worked.

I was looking at some trucks, couldn’t find a Ranger that I liked, but found a 2000 2DR Ford Explorer Sport. I’m quite happy with it, and it’s a 4.0! Why NOT!!! LOL.

The plan is to get with Doug on a tune and intake, and I really want an Xcharger for it. Hook up a hitch to it and put Stella on a trailer for track events.

She’s not stock, I already started taking the radio out and putting in some new speakers and head unit. LOL.

She's safe in the stable. Already working up some things to get her back in action in 2-3 weeks, then drive down south and put her on a track down there. I want deep 11's.

Thanks, I really like the color. Yea, the first thing I thought last night looking at Explorers and Rangers was intake..tune....and then an Xcharger. You know me man.....I'll do it!!!

Thanks. Specs say it has a 8.8 with a tlock and 3.55's.

Sweet - my wife's vehicle is an 02 Mineral Grey Explorer with the 4.0 we love it. I've been trying to convince her to let me experiment with the X-Charge on mine first, and then I can put one on hers later!

So far, she isn't biting!

i say youre going the wrong way with it rygen. take that gear ration UP and take her OFF ROAD. youve already got the fastest 4.0 going straight. how about the fastest one going up hill.

Nice Rygen I just saw this! I'm not sure you will want to tow with a vehicle with that short of a wheelbase, it might be a lil spooky. It would be ultra cool with an x charger! What is wrong with Stella?
