Damn, is it really getting close to that time again?
I've been the past two years. It's a good time but they have previously piggybacked on a MIR T&T which didn't allow for many runs.

Oh really, if thats the case, I think I'll pass. I was assuming it was a private track rental like the SSOTN Nats.

Can somebody inquire on this? How many runs did you get Adam?
I was looking forward to this event...

The link is here http://www.getoutofthecold.net/ but I didn't see anything on there. And I didn't see anything on the MIR site.
Alright decided to be a newb and post up on their forum.

Last year the BMC (BadMutangClub) held their GOOTC on the same day as a swap meet at MIR. MIR swap meets are crowded enough as is and then we added almost 100 additional cars. I got either 2 or 3 runs. I know a few people who snuck into the line a few extra times.
Dont get me wrong, there are alot of mustangs at this event and it is alot of fun, but it needs to be it's own event. I do recall that they were discussing the options of a private rental last year since alot of people complained about the lack of track time. I am sad to see that it did not pan out this year.

Yeah, it is during the swap meet. Not worth my long tow to get only 3 runs in. Oh well......good luck to those who are going.

Brenda, then you should DRIVE IT instead!
Despite the limited runs in 2008 (I got in 3 or 4), I had a great time, and the cold weather netted my best ET ever in that car. If I am around (that's our Spring Break), then I'll go in 2009 - hopefully in my SSP! If not, then I'll go for the social aspects and to see all those Mustangs.

It's definitely worth going. And you have to keep in mind a weekend track rental is 4 to 8x the cost of a week day track rental. They have a nice setup with MIR, they call the GOTC cars seperately and they have use of the radio booth to announce the GOTC cars. Its a fun event.
