Downtime!'s 1985 Mercury Capri RS 5.0

This is my latest project, a 1985 Mercury Capri RS 5.0. She's old (25) and a little tired (150,000 miles), but she's solid mechanically and she has no rust.

I found her on a local Mustang forum and couldn't stop thinking about her. I looked at 4 or 5 other Fox bodies, but I knew it was the Capri or nothing. I negotiated a good deal with the seller and she became mine at the end of February, 2010.

Plans for her a sort of vague right now. I'm going to rebuild or replace anything she might need to be a reliable driver, but I am also going to modify her to suit whatever my fancy might be at that particular time! LOL! She will not, under any circumstances, be a race car though. Just a cruiser.

The buck tag, VC tag and build sheet were all either missing or damaged beyond readability, but here's what I know about her so far (many thanks to 4eyedpride!) -

VC (Door) Tag info:
Paint code - 9L XP - Oxford White over Black Two Tone
Body - 61B - Hatchback
Int. Trim - PA - Charcoal cloth with articulated sport seats
Radio - R - AM/FM/Cassette with Premium Sound
Roof - C - Sunroof
Axle - Z - 3.08 with Traction Lock (7.5")
Trans - 2 - Borg Warner T5 manual

As far as options go, she came equipped with the following -

Power Convenience Group
Column, Tilt

I'll update this info as I discover more about the car.
